In this wonderful exhibition curated by Asli Seven I am showing my ongoing research into the cocial structure of the European Bison. The works title is

“Looking at histories of more-than-human kinship, a thread emerges linking mimicry as a strategy of becoming-animal to the thin line between desire and captivity, seduction and the hunt.
Anna Schiefer’s sculptural installation engages with the extinction of the Caucasian bison and ongoing breeding and rewilding efforts. Positioned at the intersection of sculpture, documentary, and performance, the work centers on The Bison Caller — an instrument designed both to produce sound and to lure, imitating the voice of the animal. As such, it rests on the knife-edge between seduction and capture.
Yet when activated through a recorded performance at the foot of Tiergarten’s Old Germanic Bison Hunt monument, the instrument shifts registers: it becomes a device of lament and interspecies solidarity. Like whales filling the ocean with calls to their lost kin, Schiefer’s bison sounds move through the park — and the exhibition space — as a call without response, expressing a shared fate between all captives as well as between past and future extinctions.
Something binds the Caucasian bison to the American buffalo beyond their forced hybridization — a deeper, inter-species continuity shaped by histories of violence, domination, and dispossession.”

İMALAT-HANE opens the first exhibition of its 2026 programs on 14 March 2026. Titled Relevant is different points on the circle the exhibition is curated by Aslı Seven.
The exhibition borrows its title from a poem by Audre Lorde, written in 1971 and later revised in 1992 in the aftermath of a hurricane. The circle here is neither closed nor harmonious. Rather, it is a historical figure that points to the shifting variability of difference and repetition, relation and distance. It is connected as much to the physics of geometric motion as to forms of social organization, and resonates with humor as a method of displacement.
Relevant is different points on the circle looks at accelerating processes of displacement; at the shifting and ambiguous nature of the extended kinship relations that sustain us within these conditions; and at their entanglement with violence and patriarchal power structures. Engaging imaginaries of more-than-human kinship without losing sight of the mediating role of technology and language, the exhibition embraces the critical genealogy linking ecological thought with postcolonial and queer struggles. It opens questions around human relations and the nuclear family as a site for the reproduction of power, whose effects reverberate across generations. What is the cost — and the fate — of love where power resides? What do we inherit, and how might we transform that inheritance?
On view in Bursa from 14 March to 23 May 2026, Relevant is different points on the circle brings together works by Murat Akagündüz, Dilşad Aladağ, Özgür Atlagan, Fatma Belkıs, Ekin Kano, Merve Kılıçer, Can Küçük, Camille Pradon, Anna Schiefer, Merve Ünsal, and Gernot Wieland, with contributions by Gülkan Noir and Leyla Suarez.

Eröffnung und Performance: die 19.Tafel, 07.06.2024 17:00 Uhr
Das Projekt heißt die 19. Tafel und nimmt Bezug auf das dort installierte Mosaik von Fritz Eisel. Es wird Geschirr zerbrochen, als Ritual von Abschiedlichkeit, wie es in dem deutschen Brauch des Polterabends sich erhalten hat. In mehreren Workschops wird wärend der Ausstellungsdauer eine neue Tafel zusammengesetzt.
