Sterne entstehen aus den Verdichtungen riesiger, viele Lichtjahre großer Gaswolken. Pillars of Creation ist eine Körpertechnik, die diesen Vorgang ins Körperinnere verlegt. Im Rahmen einer schamanistischen Biologie erweitert sich die Anatomie ins Unendliche und ein Sternenschauer wird in der Netzhaut erwartet. Mittels einer Abfolge von Körperbewegungen und Haltungen wird Blut aus der Netzhaut und ihrer Nähe abgezogen, was letztlich sobald ein plötzlicher Bedarf entsteht zum Sternesehen führt.

New stars are formed in interstellar clouds of dust and gas. Pillars of Creation describes a succession of techniques, which situate this process within the boundaries of the body. Through a shamanistic take on biology anatomy expands into the infinite, resulting in retinal images of shooting stars: A body is rendered in which bloodflows detour, pressure relations skip out of balance and time and space fold recessively. The nightly firmament fuses into the retina and freezes upon the expectation of the precipitation of the stars.
Pillars of Creation is an installation consisting of a letter and an instruction card(7x10cm). The letter you find to the right. It introduces the card and renders it plus what the card can do as gift, something given from somewhere.
On the next page you can see the two sides of the instruction card. One side describes the movements, the other shows a picture, Pillars of Creation taken by the NASA Hubble Telescope in 1995.
